Amazon is seeking an operations-oriented leader to join our Workforce Staffing (WFS) team. This role will focus on providing our candidates with the same amazing experience that our customers have come to expect from Amazon.com.
The Workforce Staffing (WFS) specialist is responsible for strategic leadership, operational excellence, and field organization. This is a transformational leader who flawlessly executes field operations while developing high-performing teams and delivering best in class candidate experiences.
This position requires being based in Riyadh with the expectation to frequent travel within KSA.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all WFS field operation New Hire Events (NHE) across the region
• Drive a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Lead and manage performance reviews, succession planning, and talent development initiatives
Operational Excellence:
• Drive operational excellence at New Hire Events (NHE) including scheduling optimization, labor resource allocation, and KPI achievement
• Flawlessly execute standard operating procedures to ensure consistency across all locations within the region
• Establish effective communication strategies across all levels of your regional organization
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Strategic Planning and Execution:
• Drive all strategic initiatives to enhance the candidate experience and drive operational efficiency
• Drive innovation and share best practices across the region and network
Requirements:
• Progressive leadership experience leading multi-unit business operations across a region/large geography
• Strong track record of developing high-performance teams

A day in the life
As a Workforce Staffing Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in driving the success of New Hire Events (NHE) across your region. Your day is a dynamic mix of strategic leadership, operational oversight, and team development. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize scheduling, allocate labor resources efficiently, and ensure seamless execution of hiring events. Leading with data, you’ll monitor key performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions that enhance both candidate experience and operational performance. At the heart of your work is a commitment to building high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring consistent execution of best practices across all locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about driving impactful, people-focused outcomes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of HR experience
– Bachelor’s degree
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (especially Excel) at an advanced level
– Knowledge of legal aspects of the hiring process
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of HR Generalist or HR Specialist in a corporate environment experience
– 4+ years of leading a team with experience in hiring and developing talent experience
– PHR, GPHR, or SPHR
– Experience using PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, ADP or other HR management and Payroll systems as well as call center applications
