ROLE OVERVIEW

We are searching for an experienced real estate attorney to represent NEOM values and protect its interest by providing legal support to NEOM Co. on its challenging and innovative real estate projects. This role requires all manner of real estate, land and property related expertise as this hire will help to broaden the skills of an agile and growing L&C team. Leadership skills, strong technical expertise, flexibility, timeliness and accuracy, and expert relationship management will be critical for the successful applicant.

 

REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY

  • Build relationships with the business to become a trusted advisor
  • Collaborate effectively with outside counsel, serving as the primary internal liaison on real estate matters
  • Provide relevant expertise and assurance to relevant teams on drafting and negotiating contracts and providing legal advisory support on various requirements
  • Analyze and communicate legal advice with respect to Project related queries
  • Ideally, be able to advise on environmental law, planning, corporate structuring, investment management and disputes, as required

 

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES

The Senior Manager Real Estate responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Support the Legal & Compliance Department function by taking the lead on Projects transactions and the related documents, reviews and discussions
  • Engage in drafting and negotiating diverse types of agreements and ancillary documents, primarily based on NEOM templates
  • Assist and support others within the legal department by providing advice, training, and/or guidance
  • Provide other legal services and advice to the company as needed

 

Knowledge, skills and Experience

  • Extensive proven experience managing large and complex Projects transactions
  • Experience in Projects development throughout all its phases: planning, execution, and post-completion
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation with strong commercial acumen
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with members of the real estate legal team, wider L&C team, and business partners
  • Strong analytical and innovation skills, solutions oriented and with a practical approach
  • Self-directed with strong initiative, organizational skills, and ability to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility, creativity and ability to adapt to changing needs
  • Knowledge of environmental, planning and land-use requirements a plus

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years exoerience in similar field
  • Relevant technical expertise and law firm or in-house experience
  • Experience in PQE
  • Superior academic credentials with a law degree from a leading university and/or law school
  • Willingness to be based in NEOM community
  • Saudi national a plus
  • GCC experience a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and diplomacy.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Law or relavent field
