ROLE OVERVIEW

Responsible for leading transitional initiatives to establish annual financial planning and measuring performance against execution through involvement in management reporting activities

 

REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY

  • Timely completion of financial planning activities as per calendar for business units
  • Effective Budget controls and transparency of variance reporting
  • Timely availability of monthly management reporting packs for critical and timely decision making

 

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES

The Senior Manager – Financial Planning & Performance Management (FPPM) responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

 

Leadership

  • Perform the annual financial planning and budgeting for businesses
  • Perform measurement of performance for such entities and measure the budget performance reporting against the execution
  • Lead the timely preparation and submission of monthly management reporting for businesses to reflect performance transparently
  • Identify issues in areas of FP&A and create effective solutions to resolve them swiftly

 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with the team to provide guidance and learning opportunities and develop their knowledge and expertise
  • Cascade the strategic planning to business models and financial plans across the businesses to ensure overall financial plan matches with the expectations
  • Work closely with FR&C department teams to ensure FP&A activities are conducted in line with accounting standards

 

Change Management

  • Keep abreast of emerging trends and technology in FP&A space and provide expert input to businesses for improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of the function and its accelerators
  • Liaise and support Transformation team in the designing and execution of initiatives and transformation programs

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in a similar role with a real estate, construction, sovereign wealth fund, or investments company
  • Knowledge of Financial & Management Accounting
  • Knowledge of Planning, Budgeting and Management Reporting
  • Knowledge of Financial and Management Consolidation
  • Knowledge of SAP, BI and EPM tools is a plus

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in management accounting and/or finance
  • Finance/Accounting certifications/qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA, CMA, ACCA, or similar)
