Position: Senior Manager – Commercial Finance

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Lead to focus on the commercial financial management of Business Unit for Novel Foods as well as Sales, and Marketing for total NEOM Food. This role oversees as well the financial controller activities (managed by a senior accountant) and drives the development of business cases, partnership models, and go-to-market strategies for Novel Foods specifically and with CFO for Topian in totality.

The successful candidate will ensure the financial integrity of operations while strategically supporting revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion.

This role offers a strategic position for an experienced finance leader looking to influence the financial performance and commercial success of NEOM Foods’ Novel Foods, Marketing, and Sales divisions.

REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:

Financial Oversight & Reporting:

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to support decision-making and ensure alignment with commercial goals.
  • Provide oversight for all accounting and financial operations managed by the senior accountant, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal standards. Including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Collaborate with shared services and senior accountant on financial reporting and control activities. As well as service provision to execute our commercial trading and sales activities.

Business Case Development & Commercial Financial Analysis:

  • Lead the development of financial business cases for Novel Foods, Sales, and Marketing initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data.
  • Conduct profitability, ROI, and market sensitivity analyses for commercial projects, presenting financial recommendations to senior management.
  • Evaluate and establish financial partnership models, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and assessing their impact on product flow and cash flow.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Commercial Partnerships:

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to assess go-to-market strategies for Novel Foods and overall Topian Sales.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop financial forecasts and models for various market entry scenarios.
  • Provide financial insights to optimize pricing strategies and maximize revenue growth while supporting partnership negotiations for novel food ventures.

Budgeting, Forecasting, & Financial Performance:

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for Novel Foods, Sales, and Marketing, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgets, identifying areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
  • Track and analyze key financial KPIs, ensuring all commercial milestones are achieved within the set financial parameters.

Stakeholder Management & Strategic Leadership:

  • Present financial reports and insights to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and effective communication around financial performance.
  • Support the CFO Foods in strategic planning and contribute to the commercial strategy development for Novel Foods and Sales.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, procurement, and operations, to ensure financial initiatives are aligned with business goals.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting within the food sector or related industries.
  • Solid understanding of pricing strategies, market analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage non-financial stakeholders and drive strategic decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software, including ERP systems and MS Excel.
  • Ability to manage complex financial projects and deliver results within tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • CPA, CIMA, or ACCA certifications are a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior financial or commercial finance role, with a strong background in food or FMCG sectors.
