ROLE OVERVIEW

The Port TOS Lead is responsible for the management, operation and maintenance of Container Terminal Systems, including

TOS (Terminal Operating System), GOS (Gate Operating System), VBS (Vehicle Booking System), Reefer System, Semi-automate and Full-automate systems, UN/EDIFACT (the United Nations rules for Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport), systems Interfaces, and others complementary container systems for OXAGON Port. Analyze, design, and implement enhancement in the systems, align to architecture standards and Cybersecurity policies

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES

The Lead Port TOS responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

System Operations

  • Provide support to users of Containers Systems like TOS, GOS, VBS, and others complementary containers systems.
  • Provide technical support to UN/EDIFACT, Systems Interfaces, Reefer system, Semi & Full Automations systems.
  • Support configuration, testing and continuous improvement of both TOS
  • Responsible for the administration and set up of Container TOS systems like TOS, GOS, VBS, EDI, System Interfaces.
  • Perform the annual and monthly preventive maintenance plan of the systems
  • Perform the upgrade of container systems version, assure the correct operation of the system and the integration with other systems
  • Tracking and monitoring the performance of the systems, detecting early any issues, minimize impact to operations and customer services.
  • Participate and execute the Quality Control for Ports systems applications. Execution of testing procedures and develop test cases to serve the overall quality assurance process.
  • Collaborating with Business Analysts, Project Leads and IT team to resolve issues and ensure solutions that are viable and consistent.
  • Work with the development team to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ professional experience in the Container Terminals and/or Shipping industry.
  • Proven experience with IT system application implementations teams.
  • Strong understanding of Container terminals and shipping technologies, experience working with TOS (i.e., Navis N4, CLT OPUS Terminal, or other word-class TOS), Gate Operation System, Container
  • Operations, Terminal CCTV, among other port solutions.
  • Experience defining, implementing, and testing systems interfaces between Port systems and ERP, Customs and Customer Portals systems.
  • Critical thinking ability, strong problem-solving capacity, Project management skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Project, Visio, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Power BI.
  • High level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligent and Data analytics.
  • Project Management Professional preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, industry engineering or different relevant qualification
