Role Purpose

The Policing Relations Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s relationships with government entities and officials.

This role involves developing and implementing strategies to promote the company’s interests with government stakeholders, and will also be responsible for keeping the company informed about government regulations and legislation that may affect the company’s operations.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement government relations strategies and plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government officials and agencies.
  • Represent the company at meetings, events, and conferences involving government stakeholders.
  • Keep the company informed about government regulations and legislation that may affect the company’s operations.
  • Advocate for the company’s interests with government stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports on government relations activities for senior management.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of company strategies with government relations activities.
  • Provide advice and guidance on government relations matters to senior management.
  • Work with the Legal department to ensure compliance with government regulations and legislation.
  • Manage government relations budget and resources.

  • Extensive years’ relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of the company’s industry and operations.
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources.
  • Ability to travel as needed for meetings and events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Relations, Law, or related field.
  • Several years of experience in government relations or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of government processes and regulations.
