Overview

We are seeking an Oil & Gas Treatment Specialist to join our Oil & Gas Treatment R&D Division (O&GTR&DD).

 

O&GTR&DD is responsible for providing novel technology solutions to address evolving business and operational mid-stream challenges and needs

 

Your primary role is to assume responsibility for initiating R&D projects to solve challenges in the mid-stream segment, providing technical insight and consultancy to Aramco research and development projects; and providing technical consultancy for the development, evaluation and selection of cost-effective technologies to ensure compliance with production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

 

  • Conduct pre-feasibility and full feasibility studies on novel technologies.
  • Develop plans for bench-scale, pilot, and demonstration studies for novel oil and gas treatment technologies, and provide guidance during their execution.
  • Perform simulation studies e.g. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to develop novel oil and gas treatment technology options.
  • Identify and lead collaboration activities with leading institutes and other organizations in the development of oil and gas treatment technologies, and connect with the world-leading experts as needed.
  • Liaise with relevant Aramco stakeholders to ensure in-house technology options are deployed promptly.

Minimum Requirements

  • You must have a Ph.D. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a background on midstream crude oil treatment processes.
  • You must have a minimum of 20 years’ experience collaborating with technical experts with diverse backgrounds and nationalities within the oil and gas industry.
  • You should have a strong scientific/technical background and a broad technical credibility, as demonstrated by having publications in reputable, well-known, peer-reviewed journals.
  • You must have a proven track record of conducting advanced technical projects with an ability to connect basic science research with industrial applications.
