ROLE OVERVIEW
|
The Lead Network Solution Architect – Port is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing innovative network solutions tailored for port operations. This role focuses on integrating IT and OT networks, ensuring robust cybersecurity, and supporting projects related to port expansions and greenfield developments.
The role requires strong leadership in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing network infrastructures that align with business objectives.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The Lead Network Solution Architect – Port’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
System Operations
- Design end-to-end network architectures for IT and OT environments within port operations.
- Lead the implementation of high-availability networks that support critical port systems and operations.
- Ensure integration of IT and OT networks while maintaining robust cybersecurity
- Manage network projects for port expansions and greenfield developments, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to industry standards.
- Provide technical leadership during the design, procurement, and deployment phases of network projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including automation, engineering, and cybersecurity teams, to align network solutions with operational requirements
- Implement cybersecurity best practices and frameworks to protect critical IT and OT networks.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including ISO 27001 and NIST guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities, ensuring resilient and secure operations.
- Drive innovation in network designs to support advanced technologies like IoT, AI, and automation in port environments.
- Continuously optimize network performance and scalability to meet growing operational demands.
People Management
- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Provide technical guidance and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and contractors to ensure project success and quality deliverables
Leadership
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and other communication materials tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Ensure that all stakeholder engagement activities comply with the relevant regulations and ethical standards.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Port network design and management Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong expertise in IT and OT network design, implementation, and maintenance within port or industrial environments.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, network protocols, and technologies like VLANs, SD-WAN, and firewalls.
- Proven experience leading large-scale network projects, including port expansions and greenfield developments.
- Strong ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering innovative and scalable solutions
- Demonstrated experience leading network projects in IT and OT environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification
- Relevant Professional Memberships/Accreditation.
- Certification such as CCIE or equivalent is highly preferred.
