Overview

We are seeking a Field Compliance Coordinator to join South Ghawar Gas Producing Department. 

 

The South Ghawar Gas Producing Department is a non-associated gas producing department. Its objective is to be the best-in-class gas producer that is driven by competent and motivated workforce to sustain the company’s energy demands in a safe, reliable, efficient, environment friendly and cost-effective manner.

 

As a Field Compliance Coordinator your primary role is to ensure a safe and compliant working environment while driving continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with Saudi Aramco corporate safety standards. 

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Perform job site compliance inspections, including: evaluations of Safe Work Practices (SWP) such as; Work Permit System (WPS), Confined Space Entry, and hazard analyses. 
  • Develop and implement protocols for construction sites and field operations to address risks and improve safety.
  • Design and implement controls for identified hazards, including: Lockout/Tagout procedures and other mitigation strategies. 
  • Evaluate and update hazard control systems to align with industry best practices and reduce workplace incidents.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring systematic identification, assessment, and mitigation of safety risks. 
  • Review and update the Safety Management System (SMS) framework to enhance its effectiveness and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Develop and deliver specialized safety training programs, such as: Behavior-Based Safety (BBS), Emergency Response Planning (ERP), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage. 
  • Prepare safety orientations and educational materials for employees and contractors.
  • Analyze injury, property damage, and loss statistics to identify trends and underlying causes. 
  • Recommend essential safety requirements for purchasing and contracting actions, ensuring compliance with corporate standards. 
  • Maintain awareness of corporate safety requirements and industry standards such as: API RP 75, recommending their integration into department operations. 
  • Monitor adherence to safety policies and procedures among employees and contractors.
  • Support management in monitoring and enforcing compliance with department safety and environmental programs.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate you will hold a:

  • Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Safety, Chemical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental engineering within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and experience conducting Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) using techniques such as: HAZOP or Bowtie Analysis.
  • Proven expertise in safety compliance programs, including: ISO 45001, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Experience in managing and improving a Safety Management System (SMS) and implementing controls for identified hazards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ability to develop and deliver specialized safety training programs and conduct job site compliance inspections.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and standards, such as: API RP 75, and the ability to ensure their implementation in field operations.
  • Certifications in relevant fields (e.g., CSP, NEBOSH, OSHA) are a plus.
