Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Dur Hospitality Company SJSC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Job Description
1. Sales & Client Management:
o Handles incoming inquiries related to event bookings, group reservations, and corporate meetings.
o Works closely with sales managers to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.
o Builds and maintains relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and travel agencies.
2. Event Coordination & Planning:
o Assists in planning and organizing events, ensuring all client requirements are met.
o Coordinates with other departments (e.g., Banquet, Catering, Housekeeping) to ensure seamless execution of events.
3. Revenue & Budget Management:
o Supports revenue generation by upselling services like F&B packages, AV equipment, and premium venues.
o Helps in forecasting sales and preparing reports on booking trends and revenue performance.
4. Administrative & System Management:
o Utilizes Marriott’s booking systems (e.g., CI/TY or Opera) to manage reservations and track event details.
o Ensures contracts, proposals, and invoices are processed efficiently.
5. Team Support & Leadership:
o Assists in training and mentoring junior sales coordinators or event executives.
o Works under the Sales & Events Director or Senior Sales Manager to ensure department goals are met.
This role requires strong organizational skills, customer service expertise, and a sales-oriented mindset to maximize revenue opportunities for the hotel
Job Requirements:

1. Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
• 4+ years of experience in hotel sales, event planning, or reservations.
• Experience in banquet/catering sales, conference services, or hotel group sales is a plus.

2. Sales & Customer Service Skills:
• Strong understanding of hotel sales processes and event planning.
• Ability to convert leads into bookings by promoting the hotel’s event and meeting services.
• Proven ability to upsell and maximize revenue opportunities.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build long-term client relationships.

3. Technical & Administrative Skills:
• Proficiency in Marriott’s booking and sales systems such as:
o CI/TY (Sales & Catering System)
o Opera (PMS System)
o Other CRM or revenue management software.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to manage contracts, invoices, and event documentation efficiently.

4. Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Strong negotiation skills when dealing with clients.
• Ability to work with multiple departments (Banquet, F&B, Housekeeping, Front Office) to ensure seamless event execution.
• Leadership and teamwork skills to support junior staff and collaborate with managers.

5. Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills:
• Ability to handle multiple event bookings simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate contracts, room setups, and event timelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve last-minute issues efficiently.
• Works well under pressure, especially during peak booking seasons.

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays based on event schedules.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Preferred Qualifications
✔ Marriott experience .
✔ Knowledge of catering & banquet event orders (BEOs).
✔ Certification in Event Management, Sales, or Hospitality.
✔ Experience working in regional or global sales offices for hotel chains.
