Role Overview

The Contracts Lead will provide advisory and contract management support for the Trojena project, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and effective governance of contracts between NEOM, general contractors, suppliers, and technology providers. This role requires expertise in contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and compliance monitoring within the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management & Negotiation

  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts for project development, procurement, and suppliers, ensuring alignment with NEOM’s governance.
  • Ensure all contracts align with NEOM’s project delivery strategy and digital integration policies.
  • Advise on contractual risks, potential claims, and liabilities, ensuring enforceable terms.
  • Establish clear frameworks for dispute resolution to mitigate risks related to project delays and claims.

Governance & Compliance

  • Implement mechanisms to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and NEOM standards.
  • Monitor adherence to contractual obligations, conducting regular risk assessments and compliance audits.
  • Develop protocols for contract variations and performance guarantees in coordination with project teams.

Risk & Claims Management

  • Identify and mitigate potential contractual conflicts arising from delays and claims among contractors.
  • Lead dispute resolution processes, collaborating with internal stakeholders and contractors.
  • Provide advisory support on contract termination and liability issues.

Supply Chain & Technology Compliance

  • Ensure digital software providers comply with contractual integration and data governance requirements.
  • Review and negotiate agreements to align with project reporting and analytics needs.
  • Coordinate between the Program Management Delivery System and contractor workflows.

Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting

  • Collaborate with NEOM’s commercial and procurement teams to streamline contract execution.
  • Develop contract compliance training for internal teams and contractors.
  • Provide periodic risk assessments and performance reports to NEOM leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Law or Contract Management.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate, commercial, or construction law, focusing on contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Knowledge of EPC+F contracts, supplier agreements, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian contract law and international construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC).
  • Experience with supply chain contracts for technology or digital service providers in mega projects.
  • Strong negotiation, drafting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of digital contract integration in construction.
  • Experience with dispute resolution in large-scale projects.
  • Ability to analyze contract risks and implement governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with NEOM’s legal and regulatory environment.
