ROLE OVERVIEW
The Contracts & Claims Director will be responsible for overseeing claims management and contract administration across the Trojena Projects. This role requires a strong communicator and strategic thinker who can navigate complex contractual issues while building solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will play a critical role in identifying, managing, and resolving claims, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met while protecting the interests of NEOM.
You will collaborate closely with project leaders and teams to ensure effective claims management strategies are in place and that any potential disputes are addressed proactively. Your extensive experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure will enable you to understand the nuances of contracts and claims, facilitating effective resolution strategies that align with NEOM’s goals.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage all aspects of claims management for Trojena Projects.
- Develop and implement strategies for the effective resolution of claims, minimizing financial and reputational impact.
- Mentor and train project teams on claims awareness and management best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews of contracts to ensure compliance and identify potential claims.
- Facilitate negotiations with stakeholders to settle disputes amicably and efficiently.
- Prepare and present claims reports to key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
- Collaborate with legal and risk teams to align on claims strategy and resolution processes.
- Manage the contracts team to ensure cohesive integration with project delivery and governance frameworks.
- Act as a liaison between project teams and senior management on claims-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international standards and regulations regarding contracts and claims.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with multiple levels of management.
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in the contracting industry with direct experience in claims management.
- Expertise in contractual negotiations, dispute resolution, and claims analysis.
- Understanding of all project stages from feasibility to handover, including procurement, contractual, and reputational aspects.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software for contract and claims management.
- Excellent command of the English language.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Construction, or Management (preferred).
- Significant experience in large, complex project claims management.
- Familiarity with international contract standards and best practices.
