Architecture Design & Governance
- Lead the end-to-end architecture design of digital platforms across sports venues, competitions, and football operations systems.
- Act as the Design Authority, ensuring alignment between business strategy, digital roadmaps, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Establish and enforce architecture governance frameworks across stadium technologies and competition platforms.
- Ensure interoperability, scalability, cybersecurity, and compliance with enterprise and international sporting event standards.
- Define solution roadmaps, integration models, and key technology decisions across the sports ecosystem.
- Embed governance controls supporting league regulations, compliance reporting, safeguarding, and operational oversight.
- Champion modern architectural principles, design standards, and best practices across all platforms.
Implementation & Delivery Leadership
- Lead the full lifecycle implementation of venue technologies and competition digital platforms — from design through deployment and optimization.
- Provide architectural oversight across Agile delivery teams (onshore and offshore).
- Conduct architecture reviews, technical design validations, and sign-offs.
- Oversee integration planning across competition systems, enterprise platforms, and reporting ecosystems.
- Ensure readiness for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and matchday operations.
- Align delivery milestones with competition calendars, regulatory deadlines, and event-critical timelines.
- Coordinate with product owners, delivery leads, system integrators, vendors, and technical teams to maintain architectural integrity.
Operational Excellence & Security
- Oversee cybersecurity frameworks aligned with international standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, and data protection obligations.
- Design high-availability, resilient, and business continuity architectures for event-critical systems.
- Establish repeatable technical standards and deployment governance models across venues and competitions.
Innovation & Future Readiness
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AI, IoT, advanced analytics) to enhance competition management and venue ecosystems.
- Drive cloud-first, scalable, and future-ready digital infrastructure strategies.
- Support continuous improvement of fan engagement, operational efficiency, and regulatory reporting capabilities.
- Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement
- Engage with technology partners, OEMs, and system integrators to assess and select best-fit solutions.
- Build strong executive-level relationships across leagues, clubs, referees, regulators, and venue operators.
- Translate complex technical architectures into clear business value and operational outcomes.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA, Digital Transformation, Sports Management, or equivalent) preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud certifications, ITIL, and Cybersecurity certifications are advantageous.
Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in technology consulting, system integration, or digital transformation programs.
- Direct experience working within sports venues, stadium technologies, football governing bodies, leagues, or major international sporting events.
- Proven experience delivering digital platforms such as:
- Competition management systems
- Ticketing and event applications
- IoT-enabled venue ecosystems
- Governance and compliance platforms
- Experience managing large-scale, high-availability, event-critical technology environments.
