Store Keeper

Job description:

We are looking for a dependable Store Keeper to manage all operations in our storeroom.

In this position, you’ll play a key role in the proper care and maintenance of our stock, including ordering, receiving, and managing inventory.

Store Keeper responsibilities include keeping records of all items entering or leaving the store, inspecting deliveries for damage or discrepancies, and handling any necessary returns.

Our ideal candidates have previous experience in warehouse or similar roles and are knowledgeable about inventory software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
• Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labelling supplies
• Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping
• Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
• Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
• Coordinate the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs

• Qualifications:
• Proven work experience as a Store Keeper or similar role
• Good understanding of stock management procedures
• Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, money counters etc)
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
• Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations
  High School degree or equivalent
