Overview

We are seeking for a Drilling & Workover Advisor to join the Unconventional Drilling Operation.

The Unconventional Drilling Operation is responsible on Supervises and oversees the operations of contract drilling or workover rigs working for Saudi Aramco.

The Drilling & Workover Advisor primary role is to supervise field operations of land Drilling and Workover rigs, engaged in carrying programmed work on deep or otherwise critical wells.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Ensure all rig personnel and service providers are complaining with Saudi Aramco safety standards and requirement.
  • Direct all rig operations expediently, safely and according to accepted industry practices as outlined and specified.
  • Supervises and oversees all operations performed on Saudi Aramco wells.
  • Makes recommendations on alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations are encountered.
  • Document the receipt, usage and transfer of Saudi Aramco supplied materials and equipment. Review service company field tickets for accuracy of services provided and associated charges.
  • On rigs contracted to Saudi Aramco, assures compliance with terms, conditions and equipment/personnel as specified in the Contract.
  • Works with Drilling and Workover engineers to see that modern drilling practices are followed.
  • Co-ordinate the timely ordering of required well materials, equipment and services according to the well program.
  • Approves contractor daily tour report.
  • Ensures that contractor rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as directed by operation manager.
  • Ensures that Saudi Aramco Blowout Prevention Standards are met in all respects including equipment configuration, testing and crew response.
  • Assures that rig and personnel comply with Saudi Aramco established safety standards and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold:

  •   A high school degree with a minimum of 13 years of experience in drilling and workover operations with demonstrated supervisory expertise developed over time.

OR

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a 7 years’ experience in drilling and workover operations.
