Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Cost Engineer to join our Maintenance Solutions Department (MSD) within our Global Manufacturing Excellence Organization.
MSD is responsible for providing maintenance technical consultations, towards best-in-class maintenance organization through conducting selective maintenance assessments, turnaround assurances and deploying cutting-edge technologies and best practice across Global Manufacturing portfolio.
Your primary role will be instrumental in establishing maintenance budgeting processes, cost monitoring guidelines, and conducting maintenance spend analysis studies to optimize costs while ensuring asset reliability and performance within our oil & gas operations.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive maintenance budgeting processes
- Develop maintenance cost monitoring guidelines and procedures
- Establish and monitor KPIs for maintenance cost tracking
- Lead the analysis of maintenance spending patterns and cost drivers
- Implement cost optimization strategies across maintenance activities
- Provide strategic recommendations for optimizing maintenance costs
- Lead comprehensive maintenance spend analysis studies across different cost streams (labor, materials, services, equipment)
- Develop and implement analysis methodologies for identifying cost optimization opportunities
- Conduct detailed analysis of maintenance cost drivers and root causes
- Create implementation roadmaps for cost optimization initiatives
- Identify existing and needed digital tools and analytics to support the assessments
Minimum Requirements
As a successful candidate you will hold a:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance cost management within the oil & gas industry
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing maintenance budgeting processes
- Strong background in conducting maintenance spend analysis studies
- Proven track record in identifying and implementing cost optimization initiatives
- Experience with maintenance management systems and cost analysis tools
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Alteryx and power BI
- Knowledge of industry standards and benchmarks for maintenance costs
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) systems and advanced analytics platforms
- Strong communication skills with ability to present complex financial data to various stakeholders
- Demonstrate strong analytical & problem-solving skills
