Role Purpose
Responsible for defining, shaping, and nurturing the company’s culture to ensure alignment with its mission, values, and business objectives. Promotes engagement and fosters a positive and cohesive work environment. Develops DEI strategy based on organizational requirements and gaps. Oversees and monitors the implementation of NEOM’s DEI strategy and the progress of all DEI programs. Provides thought leadership and represents NEOM at DEI events, serving as a company spokesperson. Coordinates and collaborates with NEOM Leadership to ensure that DEI policies and procedures are addressed within those functional areas.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Advance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Advance DEI by building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust with senior executives across NEOM.
- Ensure the delivery of DEI initiatives that support business strategy and performance.
Culture Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cultural strategy that aligns with NEOM’s vision and goals.
- Serve as a key member of the HR Leadership team providing guidance on cultural matters.
- Champion the company’s core values and integrate them into all business aspects.
Internal Client Relationship Management
- Lead the development of partnering relationships with senior executives across NEOM.
- Ensure internal clients have access to high-quality advice and guidance related to Culture and DEI.
Corporate Representation
- Represent NEOM in external relations with investors, clients, industry partners, and the public.
- Prepare presentations and materials for professional partnering meetings, seminars, and conferences.
Transformational Change Management
- Lead and manage projects within transformational change programs ensuring integration with related projects.
- Use structured change management methodologies to drive acceptance of change and embed desired culture and behaviors.
Leadership and Direction
- Communicate NEOM’s DEI strategy and its relationship to the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Employee Engagement and Experience
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Design and oversee programs that promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Regularly measure and analyze employee engagement levels through surveys and feedback mechanisms.
Performance Management
- Manage and report on the performance of a diverse team.
- Set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable.
- Take corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.
Policies and Procedures Development
- Draft policies, procedures, and related guidelines within DEI to ensure compliance with external requirements.
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Planning and Organizing: Expertise in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
- Policy and Procedures: Skilled in developing, monitoring, interpreting, and ensuring alignment of policies and procedures with organizational strategies and objectives.
- Adaptive Mindset: Recognized for shifting mental mindsets to assess situations and environments, making appropriate and innovative adjustments.
- Verbal Communication: Expert in using clear and effective verbal communication skills to express ideas, request actions, and formulate plans or policies.
- Action Planning: Authority in developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
- Assessment: Expertise in analyzing data from multiple sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Relevant certifications in HR or related fields are a plus.
