Overview

We are seeking a Venture Capital Researcher Expert to join our Aramco Ventures Organization.

 

Aramco Ventures (AV) is the venture capital arm of Aramco, with three programs managing five funds totaling approximately $7 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM). The Strategic Program manages both the “Sustainability Fund’ and “Industrial Fund”, and operates as a Corporate Venture Capital fund with offices in Houston, Boston, Norway, and London.  The Prosperity7 Program manages the “Prosperity7 fund I” and the “Prosperity7 fund II”, and operates as a venture capital fund with offices in New York, Palo Alto, Beijing and Shanghai. The Late-stage Venturing program manages the late stage fund.

 

Your primary role is to conduct in-depth technical and sectoral research, macroeconomic analysis, and other market intelligence activities.  You will also support the development of impactful insights, fund investment strategies and theses.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Perform in-depth research projects independently, or lead a team on larger projects.
  • Develop impactful reports and presentations on various topics, including:  in-depth sector reports, markets and trends, and macro developments.
  • Support investment teams in the development of investment theses on specific themes or deals.
  • Support the Strategy team in the development of current and future fund strategies.
  • Advise on future areas of opportunity through the analysis of trends and technology advancements.
  • Provide technical evaluation in support of due diligence.

Minimum Requirements

  • As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors in Business & Management. A Master degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
  • You will have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in venture capital, corporate venture capital, corporate development, consulting, investment banking, private equity or in startup leadership.
