We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Manager to join our Digital and Cyber – Data and Cloud practice in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on Data and AI solution leadership. This role requires a unique blend of technical depth, architectural design capability, and client-facing consulting experience to lead complex data transformation and AI enablement programs across hybrid and sovereign environments.
As part of PwC’s Consulting line of service, you will work closely with senior government and enterprise stakeholders to design and deliver data-driven solutions that enable digital transformation, enhance decision-making, and drive business value. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage key client relationships, and contribute to PwC’s strategy of growing its Data & Cloud presence in KSA, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and digital sovereignty mandates.
You will play a central role in solution architecture, delivery governance, and capability building, ensuring that all Data & AI initiatives are strategically sound, technologically robust, and compliant with national data frameworks.
Strategic Leadership & Solution Design
- Lead large-scale data and AI transformation programs, ensuring strategic alignment with client goals, regulatory frameworks, and PwC quality standards.
- Architect and oversee the implementation of data platforms, analytics ecosystems, and AI solutions across hybrid, on-prem, and sovereign cloud environments.
- Define data architectures and operating models covering data ingestion, integration, governance, analytics, and AI enablement.
- Evaluate and design target-state architectures while ensuring interoperability with legacy and on-prem systems.
- Lead the solutioning of AI-driven capabilities, including predictive analytics, data science platforms, and decision intelligence systems, integrating them into client operations.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant technology solutions.
Client Engagement & Business Development
- Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, leading discussions on strategy, architecture, and delivery progress.
- Build trusted relationships with key government and enterprise leaders, positioning PwC as a strategic advisor in Data & AI transformation.
- Support business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and contributing to market expansion strategies within the KSA Data & Cloud ecosystem.
- Ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnership development through consistent, high-quality delivery and proactive engagement.
Digital and Innovation
- Champion the use of modern data and AI technologies, driving adoption of automation, MLOps, and cloud-native architectures.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging tools, such as Microsoft Fabric, AI orchestration layers, and federated data governance platforms, into solution design.
- Contribute to PwC’s innovation ecosystem by supporting the development of Data & AI accelerators, reusable assets, and best practices for regional delivery.
Risk, Quality, and Governance
- Lead project risk management and quality assurance reviews, ensuring compliance with PwC’s quality standards and client-specific regulations.
- Define and enforce data governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to KSA data protection, residency, and sovereignty requirements.
- Oversee architecture and delivery assurance, performing design reviews and resolving implementation risks.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client satisfaction KPIs.
Leadership and People Development
- Lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams of data engineers, architects, data scientists, and analysts, fostering collaboration and professional development.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to mid-level and junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Collaborate with other PwC territories and lines of service to share knowledge and leverage global capabilities.
- Contribute to thought leadership, internal training, and practice-building activities within PwC Middle East’s Data & Cloud network.
Technical and Architectural Skills
- Proven expertise in data architecture, integration, and analytics platform design, spanning hybrid and cloud environments.
- Experience designing and managing data lakes, warehouses, and analytics environments with strong governance and lineage.
- Knowledge of MLOps and AI lifecycle management, including orchestration, monitoring, and model retraining pipelines.
- Familiarity with data security, privacy, and sovereignty frameworks relevant to the KSA market (e.g., SDAIA/NCA compliance).
- Deep understanding of data strategy, metadata management, and master data management (MDM) practices.
- Awareness of AI and advanced analytics applications in government, energy, financial services, and public sector domains.
Leadership & Consulting Skills
- Strong commercial and delivery acumen, able to oversee project economics, profitability, and team utilization.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a track record of leading client interactions and managing executive-level relationships.
- Capable of guiding multidisciplinary teams across technical and functional domains.
- Strategic thinker who can connect data and AI innovation to business outcomes.
- Bilingual Communication: Demonstrated fluency in both English and Arabic, with the ability to communicate strategic and technical topics to senior audiences effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Databricks Certified Architect, or Informatica Certified Professional are advantageous.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in a data architecture or AI solution leadership role.
- Proven experience leading data transformation programs in consulting or enterprise settings.
- Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, particularly data sovereignty and hybrid deployment models in Saudi Arabia.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale delivery teams and multiple stakeholders across complex engagements.
