ROLE OVERVIEW

The Construction & Logistics Project Director will be pivotal in delivering large-scale construction and logistics projects within Trojena. This role will focus on strategic oversight, advanced project management, and the seamless execution of deliverables to meet ambitious timelines and quality standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadership & Team Development:
  • Inspire and lead diverse teams across multiple disciplines, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and accountability.
  • Implement performance management systems to ensure team members are aligned with project goals.
• Strategic Planning & Execution:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans that detail project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Identify potential failure points in construction and logistics, implementing corrective action plans to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.
• Advanced Project Management:
  • Utilize project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean) to track project milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and audits to ensure alignment with goals, adjusting plans as necessary based on performance data.
• Construction & Logistics Coordination:
  • Oversee all phases of construction and logistics management, ensuring that project schedules are adhered to and that resources are optimized.
  • Manage the logistics supply chain, including procurement strategies, transportation logistics, and site-wide management systems.
• Regulatory Compliance & Standards:
  • Ensure all project activities comply with local regulations, construction standards, and legal requirements specific to Saudi Arabia.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices, integrating these into project execution.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including project sponsors, contractors, and government entities.
  • Develop comprehensive communication plans to convey complex project information clearly to all stakeholders.
• Financial Management:
  • Lead budget development, financial forecasting, and cost control measures, ensuring that projects remain within established financial parameters.
  • Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Cultural Sensitivity & Team Dynamics:
  • Foster an inclusive workplace that respects and values cultural diversity, ensuring team dynamics are conducive to high performance.
  • Address cultural and operational challenges proactively to maintain project momentum.
• Safety Leadership:
  • Champion safety management practices, ensuring that all team members adhere to established safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct safety audits and training sessions to reinforce a culture of safety across the project.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor project performance against KPIs, providing actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status reports to executive leadership, detailing progress, challenges, and strategies for resolution.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Minimum of fifteen years of experience in construction and logistics management, with a proven track record in delivering large-scale projects.
• Expertise in advanced project management techniques, methodologies, and tools.
• Strong understanding of construction technical requirements and logistics operations.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.

 

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, logistics, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), or equivalent credentials are highly desirable.
