Role involves  planning, design, and management of public realm spaces, ensuring they are functional, visually appealing, and environmentally sustainable. It involves working on projects ranging from small public spaces to large-scale urban developments, overseeing all phases from conceptualization to completion while aligning designs with client objectives, regulatory standards, and environmental priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Design:

  • Conduct site visits and site analysis to inform designs and develop site-specific solutions for public realm spaces.
  • Develop landscape design pre-concepts and concepts for short-term and long-term Public Realm Interventions
  • Ensure designs align with client objectives and project requirements
  • Develop softscape and hardscape material palettes in line with the design vision and suitable for the local environment.
  • Review of design consultants’ submissions and support in technical reviews of other sectors’/departments’ design submissions
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation including scope of works
  • Oversee projects’ design development by design consultants and the implementation of public realm projects
  • Prepare reports, drawings, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Support public consultation processes to gather feedback and refine designs.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary design team to achieve high-quality project outcomes.
  • Provide innovative ideas and strategic solutions to address and resolve project challenges effectively.
  • Maintain clear, precise communication and comprehensive documentation throughout all phases of the design process

Skills and Qualifications:

·       A degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field

·       Experience in landscape architecture, with a portfolio showcasing relevant projects.

·       Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

·       Strong creative and technical skills, with attention to detail.

·       Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
